This is one of Pete's favorite meals. It's super easy, pretty quick, and freeze-able. It also only dirties a cutting board, frying pan, and maybe a casserole dish (if you want to toast the burritos). This is adapted from Kevin and Amanda's Crispy Southwest Wonton recipe.
My husband, Peter, and I work well together. We cook, clean, travel, work around the house, and occasionally throw a party or two. We have a few gardens, five cats, a crazy chocolate lab, and an old home. We hang out with friends and family and both have our own geek moments. Hopefully different pieces of our lives end up on here and maybe you'll take away a recipe or two.

Apple Carrot Slaw
Lots of things are going on here. I'm working on a fairly large research project, we're getting the house finalized to list, Pete's settling into his job, and the animals continue their routines. While all of that goes on, we still cook almost every night. Cooking provides me a creative outlet. This slaw was inspired by a very complicated slaw recipe, but I wanted something super simple but also sweet. I pair this with tuna cakes (think crab cakes but with canned tuna), but it would be really great with anything grilled or brought to a BBQ.

White Chocolate Peppermint Bark
First, I want to apologize for the lack of pictures. I've been asked a few times this holiday-prep season for the recipe for my White Chocolate Peppermint Bark, but I haven't made any myself yet. So, the few pictures I have from last year will have to do until I get around to making some in 2015 (which will be soon anyway).

Apple chips
I like snacking. And I like sweet things. I also like crunchy things like potato chips and cheese doodles. All of these things are high in calories and processed food and things that probably shouldn't be eaten, but I eat them anyway.
Two years ago, a friend bought me a dehydrator for Christmas. I then discovered that dehydrated strawberries are AMAZING. So, after some research I decided to try dehydrating apples in the late summer. I did some searching and then some experiments and after trying a bunch of things, I have figured out how I like them best.
